Ava Rose has been contracted with Adam & Eve for a year and a half now, and has made right at 45 different adult films. AR: [laughs] No, good ol Phil, hes too busy building hostels over in India. Hes awesome. Well, I actually showed up, at the time when I first got into the industry, my sister and I shared the same car. Well, they gave us an address where she needed to be dropped off because I needed the car that day. So I dropped her off at the house and she said that Todd was there. I went up to Todd and said hello and what not, and I was about to leave and Meredith said, Are you busy now and I said No, so she wanted to get me in hair and makeup and do a catalog shoot. After that, she started bringing up shooting Lady Scarface, and if I did good in that, they wanted to sign a contract with me. Then they signed me to a contract like a month later, and then I shot Lady Scarface, so it was kinda AR: Awesome! I was stoked. I am always stoked. Its because we work well together, Adam & Eve I mean. Theyre so awesome. Theyre kinda like uncorrupted because they are so far from everything. KT: So can you give me any clues as to what you are going to be doing this July when your contract runs out AR: Yeah, I think I will be with them until I am done with porno. I feel like if I was completely dumped on my contract, because I was dragging it on, I wouldnt want to be thrown out into the gonzo world. Its like¦you know¦ AR: Yeah, I dont work so well in the gonzo world. [laughs] They eat me alive. I mean I can change my little thing, but¦you know I have gotten a little crazy before, but I definitely vanilla-ed it down a bit, and thats what I am comfortable with. [laughs] KT: Yeah, well actually that question was for the remainder of your contract, but you said you were renewing it so, do they have any big plans for you already worked out AR: I am sure they do. We have a lot going on next year. Already in July I do leave, July something, oh its the 18th or the 20th or something like that. We are doing a roller derby movie. I dont know if we are shooting it, but I do know that we are having a party at the Palms that whole weekend. Just for Adam & Eve, which is crazy. I mean I am not a big fan of Vegas but I used to all the rich white trash. [laughs] AR: Yeah, roller derby is the shiznit. Ive never done it, but I have seen them girls get pretty god damned brutal. I mean, but Sunny Lane is really good at ice-skating and roller derby and stuff like that. Shes gonna save me. KT: You have been quoted as saying that you consider Carmen Luvana as a mentor of sorts. Do you still feel that way AR: [laughs] I wouldnt say mentor, I would say one cool chic. I think shes awesome, and shes smart, and shes definitely made smart business decisions, and very zesty that Carmen. [laughs] AR: Of course, silly. I worked with her a long time ago. Its weird now, just working with like either Carmen or Bree, because we are all contracted together, and we are all homies sort of. Which is weird because no contract girls, are really like homie homies. Not that I know of anyways. I can only speak for myself, but theyre all pretty cool and not very cattie. I guess really the only other thing I wanted to ask, because you have been on the Howard Stern Show, how was that experience AR: Mmm, lets see, the first time was December 2006 with my sister and Paul Fishburn. We were promoting AVN. That was very cool and interesting. I mean I wasnt quite as prepared, but I think it went pretty well.
